Paid Family Leave: Humanity Forward Announces Bipartisan Campaign

“Paid family leave is a benefit for families and businesses alike. We are looking forward to working with Congress, aligned experts, and other national policy leaders to demonstrate that when families are stronger, so is our economy.” – Paolo Mastrangelo, Head of Policy & Government Affairs for Humanity Forward.

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Today, Humanity Forward is announcing a new bipartisan advocacy campaign to advance legislation for paid family leave in the 118th Congress. The campaign will focus on lobbying efforts and a public affairs initiative designed to create support for a bipartisan policy solution on the issue.

“The United States is just one of six nations without any kind of paid family leave,” said Paolo Mastrangelo, Head of Policy & Government Affairs for Humanity Forward. “Our work on this issue aims to develop the bipartisan consensus necessary to fix that.”

The absence of a paid family leave guarantee for American workers creates negative outcomes, both for American workers — especially working women — and the economy at large. If successful, this bipartisan campaign would result in healthier American families and stronger workforce participation from the caretakers who struggle to return to work after the birth of a child, providing long-term care, and other key uses for paid family leave.

“Paid family leave is a benefit for families and businesses alike,” said Paolo. “We are looking forward to working with Congress, aligned experts, and other national policy leaders to demonstrate that when families are stronger, so is our economy.”
